What are you cooking up in your griddle? Hopefully something to go along with the drink in your cup holder:
There are several new designs and materials used for creating the type of pots and pans people use for cooking today. These materials are created to make the heat more evenly distributed on the bottom of the item. They also come with new surface coatings to make the removal of food easy. Most pans and pots are sold as sets, but may be purchased as separate items in some select pieces. In the new sets of pans available, you will find some that include the new griddle pans. These are similar to a frying pan, but designs in a different shape to allow for easier access to certain types of food and beverage categories.
The griddle design is created as a square shape with no rounded edge pieces like the traditional pans used for frying foods (unlike our drink holder, which is round). This flat edge area makes it easier to use a turner to flip foods such as grilled cheese sandwiches and pancakes. The advantage to this ease of turning is less mess in your pan and a better finished food product. This can also be used for making hash browns or bacon. Because nonstick griddle pan edges are all even, your bacon slices will fit better on the surface than they do in a rounded pan.
Depending on the specific design you purchase, this item can also have the new rubberized molded grip handles for ease of holding while turning foods over. These griddles are created with the same non-stick surfaces and evenly heated bottoms as you would find in regular pans in the same design. They are also available in the popular colors of red, black and blue as well as some designer styles when purchased with an accompanying set. The easily fit on any burner on your stovetop, but work best when used with the larger burner. If you usually use a griddle machine to make certain foods, you might find this pan easier to use in terms of getting it out and putting it away.
