Coffee is the elixir life and kick starting our day without a cup of steaming hot coffee in our drink holder is unthinkable. If that coffee is freshly ground and then freshly brewed, a sip of it would transport you into a different zone. The feeling is enhanced further if you are sipping your coffee from your favorite coffee mug from your favorite cup holder. We usually have our very distinctive cup lying in our kitchen cupboard and everyone at home knows that this is not to be touched by anyone else. At the office, we consciously may keep a coffee mug that makes a statement for all to see.
Coffee mugs are universally accepted as great gifts as they convey so much by not only the shape, color, or size but also on punch lines printed on them. Some of us are occasional coffee drinkers so it may not make a difference to us as to which cup we are being served our coffee in. If you are American then you are bound not to be a part of this segment of coffee drinkers. We can drink up to five cups before the day ends so the coffee mug is an integral part of our lives. Depending on the quantity of java that you have at one time, your coffee mug size would be according to the serving size you are accustomed to having, and you could even blindly fill it up to the brim without a thought.
Some of us do not like to have a mug which is too heavy because it requires you to hold it with both hands, or the assistance of wheelchair accessories. When you are having your coffee on the go or while reviewing an MIS then you want one hand free to do other things so in office the coffee mugs tend to be of lighter material such as bone china. At home, you would like to either have your coffee while you are skimming through the newspaper or gulping it out down with your food and beverage at breakfast so once again you would want a coffee mug which is not too heavy.
On a chilly winter morning when you are curling up to keep warm, a hot cup of coffee warming your hands is so comforting. A coffee mug made of stoneware will feel soothing to touch with the warmth of the coffee penetrating through just enough to make it cozy but not too hot so as you scald your hands with it.
