A San Francisco centered company called “Adina for Life Beverages” won the Clear Choice Award for Organic Food and Beverage this year from the Glass Packaging Institute. Adina is growing immensely popular for its organic, gluten-free and healthful tea, coffee and juice drinks that many consumers and enjoying from their drink holder.
Adina’s glass bottles look stunning with the bold words “Holistics” on the Herbal Elixir labels plus the cute monkey-clad picture. Not just terrific looks or marketing, Adina’s healthy ingredients are equally responsible for it getting so well-known in the markets.
Adina’s fruit flavored drinks are a nice blend of health and taste. The secret behind this is the use of a 5,000-year-old herbal medicine in its herb-infused drinks.
The award highlights companies that utilize glass packing and not plastic in spite of the higher costs or risks of glass breaking. Glass is recyclable, as is plastic, but must be used for making the exact product in most cases, like the regrind from runners of our cup holder being used to make new cup holders. Moreover there is no risk of plastic resins leaking into the drink or food. Hence commonly glass packing is preferred as it is a superior option for both the ecosystem as well as the product.
As per John Rarrick, BullsEye Public Relations, Adina took the right decision to use eco-friendly glass and not discard more plastic into the landfills which is becoming a problem for more and more wheelchair accessories.
Adina is meticulous about the environment in not just using glass bottles, but also in their transportation where they use a modified school bus which works with recycled French fry oil used for tasting events. Furthermore, Adina makes use of only the fair trade ingredients. It has been particularly cautious in searching for the most sustainable sources for its ingredients from all around the globe.
The chief marketing officer of Adina, Bruce Burke said that the company is equally involved and concerned with its customers and the ecology. Their aim is to make products that are better for the consumers as well as for the planet in terms of the ingredients and packaging. He added that Adina supports fair trade practices and that all their products are sourced and verified by Transfair USA.
On the whole, it seems obvious that the Clear Choice Award was conferred to Adina for its creative talent in packaging, advertising and promoting their glass-bottled products although their environment friendly strategies were well appreciated.
