Bus travel saves money but not much time.

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Buses have been in use since the beginning of the 20th century when they became motorized. There were times when a number of railroad companies which offered feeder bus services earlier. With the vast variety of buses that are available, it is true that many times people and families find it rather tough to decide as to which bus type would suit their needs best.

US culture and history has been characterized by bus travel for the last century or so. While many people still prefer car driving for shorter commutes, bus travel allows people to go to less known and rather off beat places too. This gives you the chance to meet up with people you may not have known earlier, which is not possible with other modes of transport. This is true in Europe also, where trains may be super fast but do not reach every corner of the country. With a bus, travel is safe and secure too, which affords the novelty of visiting new places and territory that is quite uncharted for you.

When it comes to cost, bus travel is also quite cheap as it does not come with any surprise or hidden costs and charges. You are sure as to what you are buying and the prices at the time of purchase of the ticket itself. If you need to travel often, it is advisable to go in for bus travel. It is much safer than hitch hiking too. While many people use buses as it is cheap when compared to air travel, another benefit is that you can reach almost anywhere in the US by bus. Additionally, you get to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the US countryside.

Within Japan, the preference for bus travel may have reduced somewhat, but it is still prevalent. In Japan, people prefer bus travel to airlines as airline tickets are quite expensive in comparison and at the same time, it does not allow one to enjoy the bounties of nature and the exotic sights and sounds that one can enjoy by opting for bus travel.

The unique aspect about buses is that these are widely used across the globe, be it in rich countries or poor. These are likely to be used in future too, for connecting smaller towns and cities. Being fast, cheap and also safe, many people use buses. But they also have some downsides. As there is no system for prior ticketing, you may have to sit next to just about anyone. Similarly, people in buses could be mixed as well as rather eccentric and if you are unlucky, you may not be in exactly pleasant company while traveling (plus you’ll need to take along travel accessories). Again, in the US, distances are quite massive and traveling by bus could be lengthy and very cumbersome. It is no wonder then that so many people prefer air travel in the US for its comfort and ability to save time.

Bus travel around the world

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Buses come in different sizes and types. If you have no idea of what your company or family needs, this makes the search extra difficult. Buses were motorized early in the 20th century and motorbus transportation increased rapidly and is now used in most countries. During its inception a number of railroad companies operated subsidiary bus lines for shorter commutes.

Bus travel takes a different role in the car-driven culture of the United States than it does in most countries. For shorter distances, driving is usually the first choice for US domestic travelers. While on vacation or for tours, bus travel permits journeys far off the beaten path, journeys into uncharted territory. Additionally, bus travel opens up all sorts of opportunities to meet and befriend locals. Bus travel in Europe is not free, but it is significantly cheaper than the train. While the trains are fast, they are do not always go to specific locations like a bus, so know your route and you can be sure which way is faster.

Bus travel savings in the US, are realized by families because their travel is a set price, with no surprise charges at the end of their travel. All charges that the family bus travelers incur are taken care of at the time the bus ticket for each family member is purchased. Bus travel is regular and cheap enough to get you where you need to go, but as a budget and independent traveler, and much safer than the hitchhiking done by travelers of the past. Bus travel is not as trendy as it once was, but you can still obtain routes to take you almost anywhere in the United States. Some use it because it costs considerably less than an airline ticket, and they can see so much more of the countryside this way.

Although not as popular as it once was, bus travel is also common in Japan. Traveling by bus costs considerably less compared to an airplane flight and you can also see so much more of Japan’s countryside this way. Bus travel is also popular in Australia, as it lets you explore the wonders of the country step by step, enjoying its diverse destinations and having an unforgettable experience.

In the future, buses will most likely only be required to connect small towns that don’t have good train service. Buses are the most common form of public transportation for travelers all over the world. They are cheap, fast and reliable. Buses demand close and prolonged contact with a range of strangers, always an eclectic and often an eccentric group. Their lack of provisions (like a cup holder) for reserving seats especially lends buses to middle-class nightmare. For this reason and because the area of the US is so massive, flying is sometimes the most attractive transportation option for traveling between towns and can be priced quite competitively when factoring in time and convenience.

Make sure your Drink Holder helps the world.

Coffee can be held in drink holders that are contained inside the armrest perched in the midst of the car’s front seats. They consist of a shelf member and an attachment, with a need to try and check out how these unfold. Drink holders are used in a host of automobiles and consists of the shelf member which contains the beverage cup and the attachment member being used to secure the holder to the surface. Many of these drink holders are now part of standard automobile equipment.

While drink holders are regularly included in cars, only some being good enough to hold drinks the right way. They may be built into the seats and recessed in the back. It is also possible to have customized drink holders with your own logo displayed on it, with the holder secured discreetly in the car interior.

Consuming drinks and beverages on the go is quite the rage among drivers nowadays. When you are traveling it is very impossible to use saucers and biscuit plates. It is always desirable to drink hot coffee out of mugs, thus cutting out the hassle from enjoying the beverage on the go when placed in a drink holder.

You may have to make a little bit of effort to start using the reusable cup. Walk up to the convenience store with that. Shun paper cups and ask for the reusable cup to be filled out. Once the habit sticks, you will not need paper cups anymore.

The idea behind using glazed ceramic cups is that these have a single handle and allow portability of the cup while the beverage is still hot. Ceramic cups can also be washed soon after the hot beverage is drunk, and unlike glass it dos not shatter. When it comes to drinking coffee, paper cups have held sway since a century ago when they were invented. These were cheap due to mass production and also reduced the spread of communicable diseases.

Paper cups can also act as promotional material as it is possible to easily imprint company logos and punch lines to display to the world. These are also convenient as they act as ‘use and throw’ material. These cups have found a variety of uses like in golf tournaments, school events and are found commonly in restaurants and cafes too.

Disposable coffee cups are a extremely good value for your money as they can be purchased in bulk, without any loss in profits. But being made of paper, they lead to the destruction of over 6.5 million trees annually, with over 16 billion of these being trashed in 2006, creating over 250 million pounds of solid waste matter. This is environmentally extremely costly.

Reusable cups are thus very environmentally friendly as they supplant the need for paper disposable cups. Reusable cups are able to substantially reduce the impact on natural resources, waste and also greenhouse gases. If you are environmentally conscious, it would make sense to use reusable bags too, as long as you clean these regularly to avoid bacterial formation.
